A Little About us
Fred and Julie Wemmer are the proud new owners of The Rock Camping Resort. Fred and Julie have been married for 17 years. Their daughter Katlyn, who is 16, is a Junior at Mauston High School. Moving here from Brillion, WI in 2015 has been an exciting adventure for them all.
Fred and Julie grew up in the small town of Redgranite, WI just a few blocks from each other. Fred was employed for 19 years as a full-time machine excursion operator at a large plastic factory and Julie most recently was employed as a payroll processor with a prestigious public accounting firm in Appleton. Fred’s degree and background in culinary arts and Julie’s degree and background in accounting has made the pair a great team in this new business venture.
They also own Point Bluff Camping Resort which is just a mile down the river. Offering a great tubing, canoeing, and kayaking experience. A shuttle between the two resorts is available to make it more convenient.
The love and support of many friends and family will ensure that The Rock will continue to be a prosperous and successful business. Please come on out and enjoy camping and drinks on the Wisconsin River.
The purchase of The Rock gave Fred and Julie the capability to bring even more family into the business adventure. Their cousin Heather joins them as the new manager of The Rock Camping Resort.
Heather comes to The Rock from most recently Milwaukee but grew up in Redgranite, WI also. She grew up just across town from both Fred and Julie.
The new manager has been an insurance agent for the past 6 years but has been in the insurance industry for over 14 years. Her background in customer service and business management makes her a great addition to the family business.
